Personal & Professional Background
Chris Wright has represented victims and their families in complex personal injury, medical negligence, nursing home negligence and wrongful death cases since 1998. Chris is licensed to practice law in Missouri, Illinois, and Kansas (currently inactive). Chris grew up in Oakville in South St. Louis County, and is the son of the late Colonel Allen D. Wright (US Army & MO Army National Guard) and JoAnn Wright. He graduated from CBC High School in 1990, where he was a member of the National Honor Society, and the Cadet football and baseball teams. Chris attended William Jewell College in Liberty, MO where he was a member of the Jewell Cardinals football and Debate Team. In 1994, Chris graduated from Jewell with Bachelor of Arts Degrees in both Political Science and Communication. Chris graduated from UMKC School of Law in 1998. While in law school, Chris served as Managing Editor of the UMKC Law Review, on the Ellison Appellate Advocacy Moot Court Board, and he received the Max J. Foust Scholarship, a scholarship awarded annually to a law student with experience or skills that indicate future success in trial advocacy.
Chris has supported, or has served on the Boards of, the following charitable and consumer advocacy groups: The United Way; The Brain Injury Association of Missouri; The Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation of America, and the Jr. Cadets Athletic Program. He is currently a member of the Missouri Association of Trial Attorneys (MATA), the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association (ILTLA), the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis (BAMSL) and the American Association for Justice (AAJ).
Chris lives in Webster Groves with his wife, Shannon O’Brien Wright (Staff Legal Counsel for the St. Louis County Probate Court), their 3 sons – Ben (a student at SIUE), Will (a student at Ole Miss) and Sam (a student at CBC High School) – and their sweet golden retrievers, Baxter and Bear. In addition to representing his clients, Chris’ passions include enjoying every moment with his family, coaching youth football, and trying to defy the aging process by working out at The Grind FS.
